Expert associates form part of the DN23 family, and as such, the services to our clients are provided in an inclusive, equitable and quality-controlled environment. Our training programmes for example, are in collaboration with the only university in the world that carries the name of President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, namely Nelson Mandela University, which embodies the constitutional values that we at DN23 cherish.
Our History
Two school friends, Nathaniel Davie and David Abrahams (friends since the age of 6) decided to pool their knowledge and experience in the fields of labour law, labour relations, management consulting, and executive coaching. Nathaniel and David grew up in West End, Port Elizabeth in an unequal society during the apartheid years of South Africa. Having seen first-hand the harsh realities and effects of the apartheid system during those difficult years, both completed their tertiary education at their alma mater the former University of Port Elizabeth, now Nelson Mandela University, and established themselves individually in their respective careers. Given their backgrounds, David and Nathaniel decided to establish DN23 & Associates. The letters D and N are the initials to their names. The number 23 is reference to Section 23 of the South African Constitution, namely the right to fair labour practices. Therefore, at the core of their operations are the values of dignity, equality and freedom – values that permeate throughout the Constitution, and their daily lives.
